Crispy Stuffed Paneer Tikki – A Party Snack


  • 200 gms grated paneer
  • 2  boiled mashed potatoes,  paneer tikkipaneer tikki
  • 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 medium size onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup boiled peas
  • 2 tbsp – coriander leaves  finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp cornflour

How To Make Paneer Tikki

  • Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds and when they crackle, add chopped onions, cook them till golden brown.
  • Add salt, ,turmeric powder, geen chillies and boiled peas and sauté for one minute.
  • Remove from fire, let it cool down and then add chopped coriander and mix well. Filling for the tikkis is ready
  • Mix the grated paneer with boiled potatoes, cornflour and little salt.
  • Knead well into a soft dough. Divide the mixture into equal portions.
  • Flatten out each portion  and place a one tsp of the above filling in the centre.
  • Bring together the edges in the centre to seal the filling.
  • Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown or shallow fry on non stick tava.
  • Serve hot with chole, lemon wedges and chopped onion or with green and tamarind chutney.
