Experience With GM Diet Plan

I am doing it and I am kind of surprised. I never thought I will be doing such a crash course for weight loss but then there are couple of reasons that I am pursuing it.

  • I will be happy if I could loose few pounds
  • I will be able to assess self control – avoiding an urge of tea or munching something
  • I will drink lots of water which I usually don’t
  • I will know on my own if this process works or not
  • If not weight loss, my body will definitely get detoxified
  • I will be exciting about something for 7 days
  • I will get to eat bananas on day 4th – I haven’t eaten banana for over a year and half considering it is very high calorie

Bottom line is that I think there is no harm in doing a week experiment with my diet.

I will ensure to:

  • Drink at least 10 glasses of water everyday.
  • Brisk walk for at least 30 minutes (target is to loose 300-400 calories)

I am Priya (Pseudo-name), 27 years, 5 feet 1.5 inch. Current weight is 59.2 Kgs.

Let’s now get into each day and find our what I did and how I felt.

GM Diet Day 1: (July 27 2012)

Today, is my first day of GM Diet. I was very excited yesterday about this idea and I am very much looking forward to it.

Today is all fruits day. Started my day with 2 glasses of water.

Breakfast: Ate a bowl of papaya.

I felt okay after the breakfast. I feel puckish after drinking water in morning time. But this time I am determined that I will do it for whatever it takes.

11 am Snack: I ate one pear.

I missed a team lunch outing to stay on this diet.

I went to gym at 12:30 pm. Worked out on treadmill and lost 300 calories.

Lunch: I took a bowl of watermelon and another bowl of papaya.

Dinner: I was feeling surprisingly stuffed and didn’t eat anything for dinner.

I drank 8 glasses of water on my first day and that’s a big big achievement for me. My mother made a joke that I have drank water for many years in one day 😛

I felt a craving for something salty. Kept dreaming of razma, chana etc. whole day. My FIL made a suggestion to defer the diet for a day and honestly I was thinking why I chose this diet plan at all. But then I made a firm decision of not to waste my today’s effort of depriving myself from tea & tasty food 🙂

Now I am all excited to eat Baked Potatoes tomorrow morning.

Take away from this diet plan are – reduced belly, a habit of drinking water & eating fruits, way too less cravings. Now I am more conscious about what I eat.

I will try to maintain this weight loss by conscious decisions in my meals.
