  • 2 cups Shredded Coconut without coconut brown skin
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1-1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tbsp chopped cashew nuts
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder

How To Make Nariyal Chikki

  • Heat a pan, add  the shredded coconut and roast gently over low heat.
  • When the  moisture is somewhat lessened, remove it from heat.
  • Roast the chopped cashew nuts.
  • Boil the water in a separate vessel and  sugar and keep on stirring till the sugar water boils.
  • Once the sugar syrup is ready, add  shredded  coconut, chopped cashew nuts and cardamom powder and stir well for few seconds.
  • Turn out on to the greased tray.
  • Flatten with the back of the spoon or with the help of greased rolling pin.
  • Cut in pieces when mixture is still warm, if you allow to it cool then we can’t make required shape pieces
  • Store in an airtight tin or box.
