Samai Rice Kheer – Navratri Recipe

  • 1 liter milk
  • 125 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp samai rice
  • ½ cup mixed dry fruits finely chopped
  • 1tsp elaichi powder

 How to make Samai Rice Kheer

  • Wash the samai rice and  soak in water for half an hour.
  • Take heavy bottom pan and bring the milk to a boil, and then lower the heat.
  • Add the rice and cook on slow fire till the kheer thickens.
  • Add the sugar and and keep stirring till  it thickens  to avoid burning.
  • Add  dry fruits and elaichi powder and remove from fire.
  • Serve either hot or cold as per your taste.
