Singhade Ka Halwa – Navratri Special

  • 500 gm fresh hare singhade
  • 150 gm sugar
  • 100 gm khoya
  • 100 gm desi ghee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped cashew nuts  & almonds
  • Few drops of yellow colour

 How to make Singhade Ka Halwa

  • Wash, peel and grate  the singhade. Fry them in desi ghee on low flame.
  • Grate khyoa and add to the above until it becomes light brown.
  •  In another pan, boil milk, add sugar, and then add  the above khoya mixture.
  • Stir continuously until it becomes thick and starts leaving ghee.
  • Before removing from the flame add 2-3 drops of yellow color.
  • Garnish with cardamom powder and finely chopped almond and cashew nuts and serve hot.
