Weight loss is a tricky subject. It’s a global problem and there is loads of sites/information available everywhere around us. But advice has a different meaning when it’s tried and tested by an individual and the individual shares his/her own experience. Well, I am mother of a little girl and I gained roughly 20 KGs at the time of pregnancy and retained extra 15 KGs even after 6 months of baby birth.
But before my little girl turned 18 months I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight, all because of cautiously choosing what’s on my plate. Having said that while I was extremely careful in choosing what to eat, I was equally careful in choosing what not to eat. In this article I am sharing 15 foods that one must avoid for weight loss.
- Potatoes
- White Breads
- Sweets
- Aerated water
- Desi Ghee
- Fried snacks/foods
- Rice
- Pasta
- Pizza
- Burgers
- Any kind of cheese/butter based sauces or salad dressings
- Noodles/Maggie
- Excessive Tea/Coffee. A small cup or two per day is fine. Also avoid the thick cream ones available in market.
- Baked goods made with white flour
- Cookies/Cakes/Pies
The idea is to avoid fatty/starchy foods and at the same time keep metabolism high. To achieve that replace carbohydrate rich foods with protein rich foods and more and more whole grains.
