Paneer Papdi – Recipe Of The Week

Ingredients

Paneer_Papdi_Starter

  • 500g Paneer(Cottage Cheese) cut into 2 inch by 2 inch slices of 2 Cm thickness
  • Lijjat Papad (Any Flavour) – 10 pieces
  • Corn Flour – 4-5 Tsp
  • Water
  • Refined Oil
  • Chat Masala – 1 Tsp
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 Tsp

How To Make Paneer Papdi

  • Crush Lijjat Papad with hands into random sized bits, not more than a cm long approximately.
  • Make a thin paste of corn flour with water and add chat masala and red chili powder to it. Mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan for frying.
  • Put Paneer slices into cornflour paste one at a time such that all sides of paneer are covered with a thin layer.
  • Now roll paneer slice into the lijjat papad bits. Make sure that it is completely covered with a thick layer of papad bits.
  • Deep fry till golden brown.
  • Servehot  with Pudina-Dhaniya Chutney.
