Aam Panna – Cool Summer Drink

Ingredients

  • 4 medium size green raw mangoes
  • 2 cup Sugar  or gur (jaggery)
  • 2-3 cardamons, crushed or powderedaam panna
  • 4-5 black pepper, crushed or powdered
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • Black salt to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp Mint leaves (pudina patta)
  • Ice crushed

How to make Aam Panna

  • Wash and. steam the raw mangoes in pressure cooker for 3-4 whistles till they become completely soft and pulpy.
  •  Let them cool. Peel, mash and strain the pulp.
  • In a pan take the pulpy mixture, add sugar and cook on flame till the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Add roasted cumin powder, black salt, cardamom powder, black pepper power  and salt.Mix the ingredients and blend them to make a smooth paste.
  • To make the drink : take a tall glass pour 1 -2 tblsp of the mango mixture and pour in chilled water. .
  • Now garnish with finely chopped mint leaves and crushed ice and serve
  • Preserve  this mixture in a air tight container in refrigerator for a week or 10 days.
