Ingredients
- 200 gms grated paneer
- 2 boiled mashed potatoes, paneer tikki
- 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 medium size onion finely chopped
- 1 cup boiled peas
- 2 tbsp – coriander leaves finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp cornflour
How To Make Paneer Tikki
- Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds and when they crackle, add chopped onions, cook them till golden brown.
- Add salt, ,turmeric powder, geen chillies and boiled peas and sauté for one minute.
- Remove from fire, let it cool down and then add chopped coriander and mix well. Filling for the tikkis is ready
- Mix the grated paneer with boiled potatoes, cornflour and little salt.
- Knead well into a soft dough. Divide the mixture into equal portions.
- Flatten out each portion and place a one tsp of the above filling in the centre.
- Bring together the edges in the centre to seal the filling.
- Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown or shallow fry on non stick tava.
- Serve hot with chole, lemon wedges and chopped onion or with green and tamarind chutney.
