Ingredients
- 4 cups grated Lauki/Bottle Gouard/Doodhi
- ½ cup desi ghee/ clarified butter
- ½ cup khoya
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp green cardamom powder
- 1/2 cup choped almonds,raisins and melon seeds
How to make Lauki Ka Halwa :
- Heat 2 tsp ghee in a heavy bottom pan or non stick pan.
- Saute the grated lauki for 2 minutes.
- Add milk and keep stirring till it reduces and become thick on a low flame.
- Add sugar and mix well and cook till all the moisture evaporated from the halwa
- Add grated khoya, cardamom powder, ghee and cook further till the ghee starts leaving the side of the pan.
- Garnish with chopped almonds, raisins and melon seeds and serve hot.
