Dhaba Paneer – Recipe Of The Week

Ingredients

  • 500g Paneer(Cottage Cheese) cut into small chunks
  • Curd – 4 Tablespoonsdhaba_paneer
  • Cloves (Laung) –  4
  • Cardamom (Green Elaichi) – 2
  • Black peppercorns (Kali Mirch) – 4
  • Cumin Seeds (Jira)  – 1 Tablespoon
  • Onions – 2 medium (finely chopped)
  • Tomatoes – 4 Medium (finely chopped)
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Refined Oil – 3 Tablespoons
  • Chat Masala – 1 Tablespoon
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt as per taste

How To Make Dhaba Paneer

  • Crush 5-10 Paneer chunks, mix Chat Masala and Red Chili Powder. Leave aside
  • Beat curd in bowl.
  • In a frying pan heat oil and add Cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom and black peppercorns. When the cumin seeds splutter, add onions and fry till golden brown.  Add tomatoes and cook on medium heat till tender. Fry onion-tomato mix till all water dries.
  • Now add the crushed paneer and mix well on medium flame. Now add curd. Mix well and Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.
  • Now add the remaining Paneer chunks and add salt as per taste. Mix well.
  • Simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Tawa Chapatis!
