Ingredients
- One Cup Hare Chane (Cholia OR Fresh Green Chickpeas)
- 2 tsp Besan for binding
- Two medium size Onions (Chopped)
- 2-3 Green Chillis (Chopped)
- Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
- ½ Capcium (Finely chopped)
- One Carrot Grated
- ½ Cup Grated Cauliflower with its small green leaves
- ½ tsp Dry Mango Powder (Amchur)
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of Hing (Asafoetida)
- One tsp Jeera and Black Mustard
- One tsp Sambhar Masala
- 2-3 Curry Leaves
- Red Chili Powder to taste
- Oil for frying
How To Make Hare Chane Ke Cheele
- Grind hare chane/cholia into a thick paste.
- Add besan, salt,amchur &red chili powder.
- Now, to prepare topping of the cheela heat 2 tsp. of oil, add hing, jeera/black mustard,curry leaves,sambhar masala, onion, green chilil, capcium, carrot and cauliflower and cook on high flame for 2 minutes.
- Now heat a non-stick- tawa or heavy bottom frying pan, then turn the heat on medium. put little oil on tawa & spread one small serving of the thick paste of hare chhna (puri size) .
- Spread the topping,cover it with lid just for a minute so that it gets cooked from inside also. Then remove lid, put some more oil on the top & turn it upside down.
- Let it be brown & crispy from both sides.
- Serve hot with green chutney or sause.
