Ingredients
- 1cup chopped mixed Nuts (Almonds, Pistachios, Cashew nuts, melon seeds equal quantity, peanuts and walnuts can also be used optionally)
- 1 1/4 cup white sesame seeds
- 3/4 cup sugar (can also use jaggery instead of sugar)
- 2 tbsp ghee
How To make Mixed Nut Chikki
- Heat a pan and dry roast the sesame seeds on medium flame till they splutter and keep aside to cool.
- Now add a tbsp of ghee and roast all the mixed nuts for about a minute.
- Now heat the pan and add ΒΌ tsp ghee and let it coat the surface to the pan.
- Now add the sugar and let the sugar starts to melt and caramelize, you see a light golden color.
- Remove the pan and add a pinch of baking soda and chopped nuts alongwith sesame seeds. Mix thoroughly.
- Turn out on to the greased tray.
- Flatten with the back of the spoon or with the help of greased rolling pin.
- Cut in pieces when mixture is still warm, if you allow to it cool then we can’t make required shape pieces
