Passing The Parcel – Birthday Party Game

Things Required

• A gift for the winner
• 5-6 consolation gifts
• Different types of Wrapping paper
• Cello Tape & Scissors

How To Play

• Wrap the gift 10-15 times with different wrapping paper or as per the no. of children so that everybody gets a chance to play.
• Add in some consolation gifts between the layers of wrapping papers.
• Keep  small chits  of activity to be done between the layers where there are no gifts.
• Activities can be like say a nursery rhyme, go and hug the child sitting in red t-shirt, stand on one leg for 30 sec,pull the ear of the child sitting next to you etc.
• Let all the children sit in a circle and ask them to pass the parcel to the child  sitting next to him/her as the music starts.
• As the music stops, the child who is having the parcel has to unwrap it.
• He/she has to perform whatever is written on the chit and the child who unwraps the layer and finds a special surprise gift  can keep it.
• This can be  repeated till the last gift.

Winner

The child who unwrap the last wrapping paper as well as those who have got the consolation gifts  are the winners.
