Ingredients
- 5 cupsĀ milk
- 2 tablespoons sabudana/sago
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom (elaichi) powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- A pinch of saffron
- 8-10 finely chopped blanched almonds and raisins
How to make Sabudana Kheer:
- Wash,rinse and soak sabudana for 20 minutes.
- Heat the milkĀ in a thick bottom pan or a non stick pan.
- Cook on low heat till the milk thickens a little.
- Add sabudana to the milk and keep on stirring till the sabudana is cooked.
- Add sugar, saffron, cardamom powder and mix well and stir for another 5-7 minutes.
- Garnish the sabudana kheer almonds and raisins.
- Serve kheer either hot or chilled.
