1. Drink With A twist
You need straws, few glasses and any soft or may be hard drink. Make holes in the straws using a pin. Fill glasses with the drink. Put a straw with hole in each of the glasses. Players can take turns or multiple players can play together. Ask players to drink using the straw and whoever finishes the drink first, wins.
You can even play this game with couples. Instead of one straw, put two straws with holes. Double trouble isn’t it?
2. Get Rid Of My Spouse
This is a fun game for any party. Most exciting part about this game is that players don’t know what they are actually doing until host reveals it. All you need is few blank papers and pens. Give one blank paper and pen to each player and ask them to write name of one item/thing they want to get rid of at the top. Once they do that, ask them to write five reasons why they want to get rid of it.
Once everyone has finished writing, tell them to cross out the name of that item and write the name of their spouse or partner in its place. Everyone then take turns to read the reasons out loud. This is one of the most fun game that we have played in our kitty so far. We just couldn’t stop laughing even after coming back home.
3. Explore Your Birthday Month
This is a very easy game to plan for any party. You just need to make 12 paper chits with January to December and put them in a bowl. Ask all the players to sit in a circle. Bowl need to be passed and each player needs to pick 3 chits. Player can continue to play if he/she has picked up a chit with the month in which his/her birthday falls else they get out of the game. Last person who remains in the game wins.
This game can be played with a large group and gives an opportunity to know each other birthdays. Isn’t that a great idea 😉
4. Pluck The Pulses
All you need is 3 paper cups each with a number such as 5, 10, 15 written at the bottom and 3 types of pulses/legumes which are easily available at home. Oh and ofcourse you also need a plucker as the name suggests. Players need to take turns to play this game. Each player gets one minute to pick the pulses and put in the paper cups. Same color pulse need to go in the same cup.
Twist is that they don’t know what is the number at the bottom of the cup. As one minute gets over, count the pulses and multiply by the number written at the bottom of each cup. Player who gets maximum total wins. Don’t forget to shuffle the cups after each turn 🙂
5. Lion In The Cage
You just need a light background music and group of fun people. Ask everyone to sit in a circle. The game is that you have to put the lion in the cage by saying “One lion with two eyes and four legs roar in the cage”. First player will start the game by saying “One lion”, second will say “with two eyes”, third will say “and four legs”, fourth will say “roar in the cage” and goes on starting with one lion again. If anyone makes mistake, everyone will shout and say put this lion in the cage and that player gets out. Game continues until there is only one person left who will be the winner.
